In this post, I present a plan for teaching academic language to diverse learners using pre-assessment and differentiation strategies. The plan is designed to align with Common Core Standards.
In this Project-Based Learning Unit, students dive deep into an emerging literary genre known as Climate Fiction. Students interpret this genre, write short stories within the genre, and examine how genre, messaging, and marketing all help authors connect to readers by designing their own marketing strategy.
